An image scanner equipped with ultraviolet fluorescence. For inspecting and quality control of fluorescent inks, distinguishing erased characters in parchment manuscripts, and restoring text written with fluorescent markers.
The light source is a UV LED array equipped with a UV transmission filter (λ = 375 nm). The sensor is a CCD line sensor with a UV cut filter. The capture dimensions are 310 × 424 mm. The optical resolution is 2400 dpi. The gradation is 16-bit input/16-bit output for each color. The interface is USB 3.0 (Hi-Speed USB).
